  1. To begin, go to the Google Analytics website and sign up. Simply go to the website and select the ‘Get started today‘ option.

    You will then be prompted to sign in using your Google account. If you have an existing Google or Gmail account, you may sign in with that. Otherwise, you may set up a Google account for oneself.

  2. When you sign in using your Gmail account, you will get a welcome screen similar to the one below. This is where you will link your Gmail account to Google Analytics. Go ahead and click the ‘Start measuring’ button.

    Following that, you will be prompted to provide an account name. This name will be used internally, therefore it may be anything similar to your company name. Google Analytics will also display a number of account data sharing options. These options allow you to customise how your Google Analytics data is shared. You can leave the default settings in place and go to the next step.

  3. On the following page, you must establish a Google Analytics property. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is a new version of Analytics launched by Google. It is the most recent version, which records both your website and mobile apps in the same account. In addition, new features, analytics, and a redesigned report interface are included.

    If you currently have a Universal Analytics account, you must also begin monitoring data in Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Because Google will discontinue Universal Analytics on July 1, 2023. After the sunset date, Universal Analytics will no longer receive data and will finally cease to function.

    After the sunset date, creating a Google Analytics 4 property will need starting from scratch. You may, however, begin putting data into GA4 while still utilising Universal Analytics today. When Universal Analytics shuts, you’ll have past data in Google Analytics 4 for comparison and analysis.

    On the following page, choose a ‘Industry category’ from the dropdown menu for your website and a ‘Size of the business’ from the options given.

    Then, browse and choose how you want to utilise Google Analytics in your business, such as measuring engagement, optimising advertising costs, increasing conversions, and so on. You can select several alternatives or all of the available options that fit your requirements. When you’re finished, just click the ‘Create’ button.

    When you click the Frameworks, a popup window containing the Google Analytics terms of service agreement will appear. Simply tick the box next to ‘I also agree the Data Processing Terms as required by GDPR’ before pressing the ‘I Agree’ link.

    Following that, you’ll get a box with options for which Google Analytics contact emails you’d like to receive. Simply tick the boxes next to the changes you wish to receive before clicking the ‘Save’ button.

  4. You are now shown your Google Analytics Webs channel options. Because we’re configuring Google Analytics for a Wordpress blog, choose ‘Web’ as the platform. Following that, input your website URL and Stream name. Google Analytics will come with an Advanced assessment option set by default.
